A little autumn arriving through your letterbox
You can feel the change in the Dales by August.
Nothing dramatic. Just little things.
The evenings start drawing in, the light turns softer and golden, and the first signs of autumn begin appearing amongst the last of summer.
The sheep start coming down from the tops. Blackberries appear along the hedgerows. And there is that lovely feeling of wanting to slow down a little and make the most of the evenings.
That was the feeling behind the August edition of Letters from the Dales.
Inside your August letter
The seasonal print was Rooted.
A piece about staying still while everything around you changes, inspired by one of those quiet moments when I sat down to draw and simply let the feeling of the season come through.

August's edition was about that little space between seasons.
The point where summer hasn't quite left, but autumn is quietly beginning to arrive.
And perhaps that's why I loved putting this one together so much.
A little reminder that you don't have to rush through one season to get to the next.
