A New Collection: Wings of Reflection

Every artist has chapters in their story that shape who they are. So without being too cringe, I’m sharing a page from mine. 📖✨

Motherhood has consumed my life for the last three years—undoubtedly the happiest and best time, but also the most overwhelming. I’m definitely not the same person I was three years ago—a better person, and I hope, a better artist.

In the quiet moments, as I’ve watched my children grow, I’ve found myself reflecting more on the natural world around me. I’ve always been fascinated with birds; their freedom, resilience, and the way they nurture their young resonate with me more now than ever. This fascination, intertwined with my own journey, has inspired my latest collection.

The first piece, Night Owl, draws from those late nights and early mornings that new mums know all too well. Being referred to as a “night owl,” like most mums, I found it fitting to start there. Barn owls capture the quiet strength and wisdom found in the stillness of night, reflecting those introspective moments of parenthood when the world is asleep.

Then there’s Rise and Soar, a celebration of the Kingfisher’s vibrant energy. This bird, with its quick, precise movements, symbolises the awakening that comes with embracing the chaos of parenting—a new life, full of energy and purpose. For me, it’s about that burst of creativity and life that happens when we least expect it.

And finally, United in Flight, a piece that holds a special place in my heart. The Blue Tits, known for their strong family bonds and teamwork, remind me of the unbreakable connection with my husband. Like these birds, our partnership thrives on harmony, support, and shared moments of joy.

Each drawing in this collection tells a story—a blend of nature’s beauty and the journey of family life. They’re not just pieces of art; they’re reflections of life’s most precious moments, captured in the wings of birds that continue to inspire me every day.

I hope these pieces resonate with you as much as they do with me. As always, thank you for being here and supporting my journey. It means the world to me.

All my love,
Stacey x
